Farm Manager

Team Member: Farm Manager: We want YOU to lead our farm team through the day-to-day tasks of all the farm jobs. We are seeking someone with farm experience, although management experience is not required. Must be physically fit, motivated to work hard, be a leader, good communicator, enjoy people and able to sell at Farmer’s Markets. This position will be supported and guided by owners and will be required manage a team of 4-5 people. Our farm is about 5 acres of certified organic vegetables. We grow about an acre of garlic and 30-40 different veggies depending on the season. Job starts March 25th and ends October 18th. Full time. Housing on farm may be an option. Starting wage at $22.00/hr.

Line Cook

The Bistro at Coys Par 3 is getting busier and more popular, and we are excited about growing our team!  We are looking for an energetic team player that will join us in April and be ready for a fast paced summer!!  The position will be full time until mid October, and could extend to part time during the winter.  Experience is preferred, but if you are willing to learn we are ready to train. Full golf privileges are available, and the salary range will be $17.00 – $20.00 per hour plus tips,  depending on experience.   Accomodation available case need. SUMMARY/PURPOSE The line cook is responsible for preparing the food to be served, complying with all health and hygiene standards and following processes and procedures as laid out by the kitchen manager. The ability to work together in a team environment is critical. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOOD PREPARATION ·        Along with teammates, prepare the food for serving each day. ·        Consistently prep according to cooking methods and recipe specifications as laid out by the kitchen manager. ·        Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products on the line in order to assure a smooth service period. ·        Ensure food safety standards are being followed, including proper handling, storage, labelling  and rotation procedures. COOKING ·        Have the ability to work in a fast paced and hot environment. ·        Be knowledgeable of and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, recipe specifications, and presentation specifications. ·        Prepare in order so that food arrives in the service window at the correct temperature and same time as other items in the order ·        Assume 100% responsibility for quality and consistency of products served CLOSING ·        Together with teammates, close the kitchen in accordance with closing checklist, ensuring all stations are cleaned and sanitized. QUALIFICATIONS ·        A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking ·        The ability to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel ·        The ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications. ·        The ability to work all shifts and holidays ·        A love for food preparation and presentation

Learn more about RidgeView Resort at (www.ridgeviewresort.ca) and by following us on FB/IG/X/TikTok @ridgeviewresort Key responsibilities for this role will include; The Hospitality and Activities Coordinator (“HAC”) is a critical role at the resort.  This Guest-Facing role will engage on a regular basis with guests and will make a significant impact in the guest experience.  It is therefore critical that the HAC present with confidence, poise and hospitality at all times.  The HAC role will encompass 3 key operational functions:  1) events planning/coordinating, 2) children’s programs, and 3) food and beverage management. 1)    Events planning/coordinating:  The HAC will be responsible for planning and executing weekly resort events and activities including, stakeholder coordination, setup/tear down and public speaking/announcing for; 1.    The weekly Market and Dance 2.    Resort activities including sports events, movie nights, family activities, adult activities etc. 3.    Special events including Canada Day celebrations and private function. 4.    Pool side activities and games (including bingo, name that tune etc.) ·      Preparation of Weekly Activity Sheets to be provided to guests upon arrival.  Weekly Activity Sheets to be completed by June 15. ·      Digital content updates for on-site media boards ·      Assist the social media manager with digital content.   2)    Children’s programs:  The HAC will be responsible for planning, preparation and execution of weekly children’s programs, including; 1.    Weekly children’s crafts ages 5-12 (Mon-Thur) 2.    Weekly 4-hour kids camp ages 5-12 (Wed) ·      Oversight of junior camp staff employees;   3)    Food and beverage management:  The HAC will be responsible for daily oversight of the pool-side Snak Shak which serves short-order items to resort guests. 1.    Staff management, training and support as needed to ensure a seamless and customer focused service to our guests. 2.    Oversight of openings/closings including daily clean up, inventory ordering and food/service quality. HAC Supervision In all roles above, the HAC will be directly supervised by senior staff who will provide training and support to ensure you are equipped to succeed and to have fun! Site Supervisor

Title: Site Supervisor $26-35 Department: Operations Supervisor: Project Manager Direct Reports: Equipment Operator/Labourer Role Summary As a member of the team, the site supervisor assumes a strategic role in the installation of the project by adhering to Hybrid Landscapes Vision, Mission, and Values. The Site Supervisor has primary day-to-day responsibility for implementing the installation of projects to Hybrid Landscapes standards. This includes direct responsibility of supervising labourers and Equipment Operators onsite. Finishing Touch landscapes is seeking to recruit candidates for the up coming 2024 landscape season. Prefer previous landscape maintenance experience but will train the right candidates. Wages range from $19/hr-$24/hr depending on experience. Long term opportunities to become a crew leader are available starting wage $25/hr+. Monday to Friday full time.
