Interior Health is hiring a permanent full time Administrative Assistant/Medical Administrative Assistant to provide confidential administrative support functions to the Clinical Operations Manager at the Invermere District Hospital in B.C.

What will you work on?
The Administrative Assistant/Medical Administrative Assistant works in a team environment to provide confidential administrative support functions for the assigned site management, under the direction of the site Manager. Position also provides confidential administrative support functions for the Chief of Staff office under the direction of the Coordinator, Medical Administration.
The Administrative Assistant/Medical Administrative Assistant maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all information and performs routine administrative duties for the management and medical staff at the site(s). Responsibilities include coordinating and organizing workflow; determining priorities; composing confidential correspondence for signature; and designing and creating correspondence, documents, presentations, orientation packages, and spreadsheets.
Some Other Typical Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Discusses inquiries for information with a variety of internal and external contacts in order to obtain and disclose information. Answers routine inquiries and complaints by determining the nature of the issues and provides information directly or through correspondence.
• Provides assistance on projects by collecting data requiring the evaluation and determination of available sources. Assembles and edits reports in an appropriate format. Assists with maintaining the (program, department, etc.) web page.
• Sets up and maintains manual and computerized filing systems for all correspondence and administration files. Maintains materials such as policy and procedure manuals.
• Coordinates meeting schedules and calendars by prioritizing and arranging appointments and canceling and/or rescheduling meetings as required, ensuring that schedules are manageable.
• Coordinates all administrative logistics for meetings, events, education sessions, workshops, video conferences, and teleconferences including appropriate space, equipment, and materials.
• Arranges travel and accommodation by booking and confirming flights, vehicles, and hotel reservations
• Attends and acts as a recorder for confidential meetings such as management meetings and Local Medical Advisory Committee Meetings. Transcribes minutes and distributes accordingly. Follows up on action items as required, prepares agendas, and circulates necessary materials for meetings.
• Receives, reviews, and coordinates with the Executive Medical Director’s office for sign off on remuneration claims for Rural Continuing Medical Education, call-back claims, and locum expense claims.
• Arranges on-site orientation for medical staff. Makes necessary changes and access arrangements (i.e. computer access, hospital access, admitting privileges, and photo id for medical staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience:
• Diploma and graduation from a relevant administrative or business support program.
• Three to five years of experience in an administrative support position, including experience working with various computer software programs.

Comments
Starting salary is approximately from 44K to 55K and will be based on education, training and experience.

Role ResponsibilitiesCommunications Content Development – 40%
Create a wide range of high-quality communications materials including social media posts, newsletters, project plans, briefing materials, annual reports, brochures, news releases, Q&As, etc.
Copy edit and proofread funding materials, including application forms, reports to donors etc.
Create infographics, videos, and other content (for print and digital) as needed that make the community foundation’s work accessible to expert and non-expert audiences.
Ensure content respects brand guidelines and accessibility.
Update and maintain the Foundation’s websites as necessary.
Reinforce the key messages of the community foundation.
Communications Planning and Strategy- 20%
Contribute to the development of and be accountable for the delivery of the community foundation’s communications strategy.
Provide advice and recommendations to team members on the best communications approaches and tools to help them effectively manage critical issues.
Track and analyze the outcomes of communications activities.
Carry out media monitoring to ensure strategy takes into account trends and topics in media
Event Coordination- 20%
Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for each event
Research vendors and make selections based on their creativity, quality, and cost
Reserve venues and lock down day-of logistics
Develop content for event materials
Handle administration of events including order placements, vendor monitoring, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issues resolution
Administrative Support- 20%
Assist the Executive Director with respect to various administrative projects including Board of Directors support.
Hours & Working Conditions
The ideal candidate would be available ten (10) hours per week, so an independent contractor would be ideally suited to this position. Many duties can be accomplished remotely but some tasks will require in person attendance.

Working with Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinical Team the CYMH Worker will provide counselling services to children and youth under 19 years of age experiencing mild-moderate mental health difficulties. The focus of the CYMH Outreach Counsellor is to assist children and youth with mild-moderate mental, emotional, and behavioral problems and their families and/or caregivers so they can function to their highest capacity. All service provisions will reflect risk reduction, build capacity for natural existing support systems, and ensure access to timely service. Service provision is inclusive to First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and Indigenous populations and span cultural backgrounds as needed. Out of scope clients include children/youth with severe mental issues, children/youth receiving autism services and children/youth experiencing and/or witnessing domestic violence.
Duties:
The On-Call Support Workers are part of a team of casual staff, carrying a cellular phone and serving scheduled on-call duties for the Safe Homes Program. When called out, they provide a confidential emergency service for the provision of temporary, safe, and supportive accommodation for women and their children who have experienced or who are at risk of abuse, threats, or violence. Support workers will provide safe transportation, following COVID-19 protocols, give information, support and, when appropriate, follow-up support for women.
Qualifications:
A Grade 12 diploma. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and some knowledge of women’s issues from a feminist perspective. A valid BC driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle is essential. This position requires Union membership. the applicant must consent to a mandatory crminial records investigation.

Position Summary
The Community Registered Nurse (CRN) in collaboration with the health team, will
contribute to the overall health of the community using a population health and
community development framework. The CRN promotes traditional and cultural
approaches to health practices. The CRN demonstrates knowledge and skills in
assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating community health and home care
nursing programming based on local knowledge and information; morbidity, mortality,
and other statistics; population health, and current preferred practice as these relate to
community health and home care nursing practice
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects, assesses, analyzes, and applies information from various data sources
to make evidence informed decisions for nursing services, including program
planning, development and priority setting with individuals, families, groups, and
communities, and interprets information for professional and community
audiences.
• Responsible for nursing programs set out in agreements: for IMMS, TB Control,
Sexual Health, Maternal Child Health, Prenatal/Postnatal, Communicable
Disease, Men’s Health, Youth, Mental Health/Wellness and Substance Misuse,

• Responsible for overseeing the Home & Community care program process and
documents, assessment, care plan, coordinating care and services, home visits,

Position Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BScN) from a recognized university or an
equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing
Professionals (BCCNP).
• Certification in Immunization Competency, or willingness to be certified within 3
months of hire.
• Possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License, able to submit current
drivers abstract and have reliable transportation.
• Complete and clear the Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Social Development Worker (the “SDW”), you will work under the direction and guidance

• Assistance of members with making healthy lifestyle choices.
• Skilled observations, recording, and timely reporting to Member services Director or ISC
for any pertinent changes in the member’s needs.
• Document interactions with members.
• Submit activity reports and other reports as required in timely manner such as activity
and quarterly reports as deemed necessary.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of members.
• Acts as a liaison for members in navigating social assistance programing such as Persons
with Disabilities (“PWD”), career cruising, and identifying gaps in support needs.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Assistant (the “CA”) position is responsible in assisting –akis“nuk First Nation (“AFN”) managers and staff to optimize how organizational communication. The CA gathers research and prepares communications material for internal and external audiences and by developing and implementing advertising campaigns across the AFN community which are appropriate for print or electronic use. The CA will also be responsible for creating marketing materials, managing social media networks, creating databases for managing clients, events, communications, and marketing data. Other responsibilities may include drafting and editing publication material copies and helping to execute communications projects and strategies for the AFN organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the gathering of pertinent information which goes in creating, printing, and distributing the AFN bi-weekly newsletter.
· Ensure that the AFN webpage is up to date with all the current community activities and events.
· Work in conjunction with staff and affiliate organizations to plan community events. (Annual General Assembly, Earth Day etc.)
· Create physical and electronic flyers and other communication materials for events and overseeing their distribution.
· Ensure all major events are displayed on the AFN billboard, communication boards in the Administration building and Recreation Centre, and in any other suitable location on AFN property.
· Scan and save historical and crucial documents on the AFN common drive whilst ensuring confidentiality is being sensibly practiced.
· Organize the virtual common drive and all its components.
· Assist in the reorganization of the archived files in the Administrations building’s basement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· University degree or college diploma in Communications, or a similar field.
· Experience in an administrative and/or communications capacity.
· Ability to manage and maintain social media accounts such as on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
· Experienced problem solver and able to tackle issues in the workplace.
