Toby Creek Adventures is currently accepting applications for the position of Snowmobile & ATV Mechanic. The person we are looking for is a motivated self-starter who is able to prioritize tasks and requirements under sometimes demanding circumstances. We provide a fully equipped, heated workshop but you will also need to be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Your ability to solve problems quickly and act as a valued professional resource within a team environment will be a major asset.
Responsibilities
Ensure all workshop operations meet industry safety standards and workplace safety regulations.
Maintenance and repair of our fleet of snowmobiles, ATV’s and UTV’s as well as trailers, vehicles, bus, and snow groomers.
Ordering parts, submitting Purchase Orders (PO’s), receiving deliveries and recording items into and out of inventory.
Coordinate fleet requirements and ensure prompt turnaround to meet booking and operations requirements.
Assess and document damages and provide cost estimate
Provide support to guides, deliver machine replacements promptly on trail as needed and conduct machine recovery
Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe workshop.
Assist with building maintenance tasks and projects
Assist administration, front-office and operations teams as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Trade qualification in Mechanical Repair & Maintenance
ATV and/or snowmobile small engine experience preferred.
Familiar with Windows-based computer systems – able to use MS Word, Excel & Email
Customer service experience.
Good verbal and written communications

A current first aid certificate is an asset – 80 hr OFA or Wilderness FA preferred.

assisting Aerial Attendants in the daily operation of our Rock Wall, Puma Plummet, Aerial Park, and

happy, confident, and motivated while participating in the Adventure Zone activities.
Responsibilities
– Assist Supervisor with daily set-up and take-down of the Recreation Equipment
– Assist Supervisor with daily equipment and recreation facility inspections
– Assist Supervisor with the sizing of harnesses and helmets to guests
– Assist Supervisor with the monitoring of guest time limits on activities
– Engage with guests from the ground and give them challenges to motivate them

Zipline Guides are responsible for facilitating our 7-Zipline Course. You will guide multiple
groups a day and give them a top-of-the-line experience to create memories of a lifetime.
Candidates must be hardworking and in good physical shape. Training will begin between April
& June, depending on individual start dates. Full-Time Hours are guaranteed from Late June until Early September
Responsibilities
– Fit gear to guests, facilitate training course, supervise guests throughout tours
– Facilitate up to 3 zipline tours a day. Assist Adventure Zone when needed
– Provide interpretive information to guests during tours
– Perform daily gear and course inspections
– Assist with site management (trails & parking lot) and basic cleaning duties
Requirements
– No Prior Zipline or Ropes Course experience necessary, but it is an asset

Segway Guides work off-site from ValleyZip about 8 minutes away. They are responsible for the
daily operation of our Segway Tour and will be working independently. Guides are also crosstrained in the reception department of ValleyZip, allowing them to work back and forth as tour
demands fluctuate.

– Daily set-up and take-down of the Segway Basecamp
– Daily equipment inspections
– Check-in guests and review their waivers
– Facilitate up to 3 training tutorials and guided tours a day. Providing interpretive
information about the local area and taking photos of the guests

– Assisting reception at VZA as needed
Requirements
– Tour guiding experience not required, but it is an asset.
