Looking to fill 4 positions for this river tube adventure company. Fairmont Outdoors is the premier river tubing company in the Fairmont range and have over 200 floats to choose from. Groups up to 75 have been achieved because of high quality river tubes and the actions of our staff. Responsibility will include interacting with all age groups and abilities and describing the nature of the river float and to make sure the client receives the safest description and operation of our equipment. This is an exciting job to have for a summer job and we pay a very good hourly wage and housing is available for the right people. We operate from May 24 long weekend up till the Sept long weekend.  

Assistant Manager Position

Requirements: Boater’s License is a must. Team Management Experience is required. Boating experience is an asset. Knowledge of Lake Windermere and all boating hazards is required. Customer Service experience required, Point of sale, accepting card and cash payments. Fast Learner Cleanliness and organized Excellent computer skills. Microsoft Office, Word and Excel Flexible and adaptable to work. Willing to work 8-10 hour shifts, 3-5 days per week. Duties: Organize staff to ensure all clients are being assisted in a timely fashion. Delegate as needed. Be able to assist when needed in the office, and on the docks etc. Ensure the marina operates smoothly while maintaining tidiness and organization. Handle customer complaints, in person, by phone and email. Monitor the social media reviews, Trip Advisor etc. Respond to clients inquiries, in person, by phone and email. Inspect watercraft and make decisions when to call in the rentals. Sundry duties as assigned Responsibilities: Enforce the policies and procedures of the company. Learn all positions of the marina, be able to assist where needed. Keep manager and owners up to date. Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will process requisitions, issue purchase orders and receive all orders for the resort. The coordinator records the movement of food, beverages, supplies and equipment to and from all departments as required. In addition to these duties, specific to food and beverage, this position will ensure an accurate perpetual inventory is maintained. Major Duties & Responsibilities: ·         Maintaining timely and detailed communication with our suppliers and vendors. ·         Review requisition orders for accuracy and check that materials, equipment and stock are not available from current inventories. ·         Determine delivery method and arrange shipping when required. ·         Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances. ·         Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing slips or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods. ·         Operate pallet jack or hand truck to load, unload, transport and store goods. ·         Sign shipping documents and forward to Accounts Payable as proof of delivery. ·         Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems. ·         Prepare bills of landing for items being returned. ·         Maintain internal, manual and computerized record-keeping systems. ·         Calculate cost of orders and charges invoices to appropriate accounts. ·         Code and balance invoices for submission to manager for approval. ·         Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and price lists. ·         Use manual or computerized inventory systems to oversee inventory levels as materials, equipment and stock are issued, transferred within the establishment, or sold to the public. ·         Use manual or computerized inventory systems to compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand. ·         Maintain stock rotation and dispose of and account for outdated stock. ·         Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.   Minimum Qualifications & Skills: Education: ·         Completion of secondary school or equivalent work experience.   Experience: ·         Experience in shipping and receiving or related occupation or as a warehouse worker. ·         Experience working with computer systems. ·         Experience working in a fluid environment with fluctuating levels of business.   Skills: ·         A driver’s licence is required (Class 4 is preferred but not required) ·         TDG Dangerous Goods certificate required. ·         Excellent communication skills (active listening/reading comprehension/writing). ·         Critical thinking/judgment decision-making/time management. ·         Knowledge of Optimum Control inventory software is preferred but not required. ·         Knowledge of Silverware POS is preferred but not required. ·         Knowledge of MS office is required (Outlook, Word, Excel).   Working Conditions: ·         Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment. ·         Good physical condition is required for this role. ·         Must be able to lift/push/50lbs. ·         Some work may be done in an outdoor work environment where the worker is exposed to variations in weather conditions and seasonal weather patterns.

RV Grounds Attendant

Position Summary – The RV Grounds Attendant is responsible for day-to-day care of the park.  The daily duties are to produce manicured, safe, healthy and eye-pleasing environments for guests and team members. Major Duties & Responsibilities: ·         Provide excellent customer service to guests and team members ·         Coordinate and implement day-to-day duties and needs ·         Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily cleaning of all equipment and facilities used. ·         Maintain clean, concise and effective communication with the parks’ front desk agent ·         Enforcing park rules and regulations ·         Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner ·         Perform routine manual labour involved in ground care, maintenance work and construction ·         Operate, push, and ride lawn mowers in a safe manner ·         Operate grass trimmer in a safe manner ·         Operate power tools in a safe manner ·         Operator Gator, EZ-Go and Golf Cart in a safe manner ·         Maintain clean and safe washrooms for guests ·         Maintain clean and safe sites for guests ·         Cleaning sites of garbage and left behind items on check out ·         Cleaning site before a guest checks in ·         Cleaning fire pits when a guest checks out and before a guest checks in ·         Vacuuming, Washing Desk and Chairs ·         Operate portable radios in a professional and safe manner ·         Providing front desk agent of any discrepancies in the sites ·         Promote a positive environment with all other FHSR departments. ·         Reports equipment problem or failure to Supervisor/Manager Immediately. ·         Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required. RV Park Office Clerk

Position Summary – The RV Park Office Clerk is responsible to ensure they are presenting the Resort to company standards, and that guests are our main focus. Ensuring all standards and procedures are being followed as instructed, and that any discrepancies are reported to the Supervisor. Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior customer service to guests and team members
  • Will be responsible, once trained, to carry out daily activities as training has indicated, always maintaining department standards
  • Acknowledges and adheres to the parks policy and procedure manual
  • Enforcing parks rules and regulations
  • Check guests in and out of the park

Landscaping Attendant

Position Summary – The Landscaping Attendant is responsible to care for the grounds of the lodge and golf clubhouses. Will produce manicured, healthy and eye-pleasing environments for guests to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. This will be achieved in harmony with the golf course turf care department, resort maintenance, sales & marketing and will work closely with the Landscaping Supervisor in setting and achieving goals. Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintains flower beds, all greenspaces, sidewalks, patios, parking lots and ornamental beds
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery.
  • Helps train other landscape staff in routine maintenance.
  • Applies pesticides and fertilizers to ornamental plantings.
  • Keeps clubhouses and lodge weed, debris and, garbage free.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve clear, concise, and effective communications inter and intra departmentally.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and fellow employees.
  • Seasonal lighting set-up and maintenance.
  • Promote a positive environment with all other FHSR departments.
  • Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.

Turf Care Labourer

Position Summary – A Turf Care Labourer is responsible to perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; do semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operate small hand-powered equipment; and perform work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders and fairway, green, tee and rough mowers. Major Duties & Responsibilities: ·         Operates mowers and other equipment to trim around greens, aprons, tees, around trees, fence lines, banks, and hillsides. ·         Edges cart paths; ·         Edges, rakes and maintains sand bunkers; ·         Sets tee markers and cups on the greens daily; ·         Maintains ball washers; replaces tee towels and flags when needed; ·         Removes debris and empties garbage receptacles; ·         Mows greens, tees, fairways, and rough with appropriate mower; ·         Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; ·         Reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment Mechanic or Supervisor immediately; ·         Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; ·         Cleans the maintenance areas. ·         Helps in project work; ·         Assists in the construction of new greens, tees, bunkers and fairways; grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds tees, greens and fairways; ·         Installs forms and lays walks and paths using gravel and asphalt mixes; excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools; ·         Repairs and replaces pipe on irrigation systems. ·         Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required. Records, Reporting & Grants Specialist

Overview ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation (″AFN″) is a member Community of the Ktunaxa Nation. AFN Administration exists for the Community and is comprised of different departments unified by our Vision, Mission, and Values. The AFN departments work together to achieve our goals and objectives as set out in our long and short term strategic plans. We continue to progress and move our community forward toward our Vision. Position Summary The RRGS is responsible for (i) collecting, classifying, and maintaining AFN’s documents, records and agreements in accordance with policies and document management system (“DMS”), (ii) reviewing AFN’s reporting obligations to, inter alia, government agencies and as required under funding agreements, etc., and, working with AFN departments, ensure the timely filing of all reports, (iii) identify various funding grants available to AFN and, working with AFN departments, coordinate applying for funding grants, and (iv) provide ongoing administrative support to the Fiscal & Economic Director and the Finance Department. The RRGS will develop, update, and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for managing AFN’s documents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ·         Implementing a DMS, including overseeing all aspects of retaining documents, and putting in place a searchable index system to readily locate documents. ·         Ongoing maintenance of the DMS, ensuring all files are properly stored and readily accessible to AFN’s various departments. ·         Reviewing contracts and extracting data relevant to the contract lifecycle process, including identifying obligations under agreements, diarizing the same and coordinating with AFN’s departments completion of AFN’s obligations. ·         Coordinate member and staff data transfers for physical and electronic files by collecting, reviewing, and releasing of incoming and departing financial records. ·         Provide guidance on electronic content management, scanning, email management and electronic filing. ·         Liaise with Human Resources on any staff documentation which may be required. ·         Provide system administration support for the Records Management Systems (RMS) such as the payroll system; identify system enhancements, coordinate implementation and upgrades. ·         Identify and/or participate in the evaluation of tools to enhance best practices and test new products and software. ·         Perform regular inventory of financial and payroll files both physical and electronic. ·         Provide administrative support to the Fiscal and Economic Director and wider Finance Department including minute taking, file management, and meeting facilitations. ·         Lead and assist with financial tasks and perform other related duties as assigned. ·         Identify and remain current with funding grants available to AFN and coordinating with AFN’s various functions applying for funding grants. ·         Remain current with relevant laws, regulations, covenants, policies, trends, etc., including retention and privacy obligations. ·         Collect and manage data related to AFN and AFN’s programs and operations. ·         Such other duties as may be assigned by Fiscal and Economic Director.   REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ·     Associated university degree or technical diploma with minimum 2 years of related records management experience. ·     Excellent communication skills, both written and oral as well as computer literacy in a Microsoft office environment, and other related forest industry software applications. ·     Understands the importance of confidentiality and works on ensuring sensitive information is stored properly and is not divulged to third parties. Privacy protection is key. ·     Experience using content management systems such as payroll systems, file managers, and meeting platform managers such as iCompass and Sage 300. ·     Advanced financial literacy is a considered an asset. ·     Ability to act as a team player, establish rapport and a positive working relationship with staff and community members, and also able to work autonomously. ·     Previous administrative experience with exposure in supporting and assisting staff members of all levels in generic administrative duties such as minute taking, meeting facilitations, date integrity, and file management. ·     A basic understanding of agreements and the contract life cycle process, including periodic covenant obligations (such as reporting), renewal periods, termination, etc. ·     Excellent organizational skills and an ability to diarize key events / reporting obligations, and coordinate the completion of the same. ·     Excellent search skills, including the ability to locate documents in a timely manner ·     Excellent research skills, including the ability to identify funding grants available to AFN and relevant laws, regulations, covenants, policies, trends, etc., applicable to AFN.
