Finishing Touch Landscapes is currently seeking to fill Mower Operators and Landscape Labourer positions for the upcoming season. Duties include working with the mowing crews and irrigation/landscape crew doing a wide variety of tasks as needed. Previous experience operating commercial lawn maintenance machines and commercial sized mowers would be preferred. Candidates would also be required to help dig trenches and install/maintain irrigation systems. Must be able to work in the summer heat, lift heavy objects and have a good work ethic. Work schedules Monday to Friday 8-5.  Will need to have own transportation. Wage depends on experience. Reach out if interested.

Infant/Toddler Educator

Infant/Toddler Educator Position: We are seeking a BC Certified Infant/Toddler Educator to work at our thriving licensed Children’s Centre in Invermere. We run an Infant/Toddler program, Group 3 to 5 program, and Out-of-School care. About the Position: The position would require someone who is alert, joyful and physically fit, to work in a busy and dynamic environment. A creative team player, whose responsibility and conscientiousness would contribute to our caring environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of childcare programs that address all domains of learning, inclusive of physical, cognitive, creative, emotional, and social development.
  • Ensure programming contributes to emerging curriculum based on children’s needs and interests and relevant topics that address respect for self, each other, and the environment.
  • Follow Dragonfly Policies and Procedures along with BC Licensing requirements.
  • Deliver all early childhood education activities, including health, safety & nutrition, fine & gross motor activities, storytelling, literacy & numeracy work, songs, mechanisms of creative expression through various forms of expression, and self care skills that promote independence.
  • Contribute to care of the facility and its equipment.
  • Prioritize positive, open, and healthy relationships with parents, co-workers, and community.

Rental Attendant

COLUMBIA RIVER PADDLE RENTAL ATTENDANT – DOCKS Full-time position At Columbia River Paddle we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, join our team and spend your summer at the water’s edge. Rental Attendants are responsible for assisting customers with the rental process and providing excellent customer service. This position involves interacting with guests, providing trip and paddling information, readying and tidying away boats and equipment as needed.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, communicate with customers about what services are available. Explain trip overviews and safety protocols for canoe, kayak and SUP use. Ensure customers are properly fitted with life jackets and other necessary gear before they launch. Provide on shore basic paddling instruction and assist customers into and out of the craft. Ensure that all equipment is in good condition and clean before and after each use. Process rental transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and completing necessary paperwork. Report any damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor for replacement or repair. In case of emergencies or incidents, follow established procedures and communicate with supervisors or emergency personnel as necessary. Keep the rental area clean and organized. Maintain cleanliness of canoes and other equipment, ensuring they are properly stored, cleaned, and ready for the next rental. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations. Communicate any customer concerns or operational issues to the Canoe Rental Shift Supervisor. Assist in training new staff as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
