You’ll be the espresso shot behind sourcing, negotiations and full lifecycle purchase order management, supporting sales, marketing and maintenance at Kicking Horse Coffee. You will maintain adequate inventory and supply levels of all retail items for our D2C warehouse and onsite Café. You’ll work to ensure that we receive the right products and services, at the right time, and at the right price. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • See to it our teams have what they need when they need it!
  • Work collaboratively to determine needs and be proactive in ensuring items are ordered and in stock.
  • Process purchase requisitions, release purchase orders, replenish stock and process special orders using economical and ethical purchasing philosophies.
  • Complete sourcing activities including Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes, Request for Information, bid evaluations and negotiating directly with suppliers.
  • Keep our supplier relations as strong as a double shot of espresso, while ensuring compliance with procurement process and contractual agreements. Coordinate supplier activities and reviews of overall performance.
  • Work with the purchasing manager to support the maintenance and growth of our organizational contract management plan.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of accurate data and purchase order pricing within the ERP system including purchase orders, part master records, vendor master records, vendor pricing records, etc.
  • Provide team support to establish inventory minimums and maximums within the ERP system to ensure MRP supports the demands of the operations organization.
  • Work to meet or exceed established departmental KPI’s.
  • Support the management of the purchasing team email inbox and coordinate CAPEX projects.
  • Support other members of the purchasing team in role coverage as required.
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Procurement professional with 3-5 years of related experience in a procurement or supply chain capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships within a supply chain context
  • Post-secondary education or related training and experience
  • Experience with an ERP System or similar and Master Data Management
  • Understanding of sales and marketing components (an asset)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Cross-Functional & Marketing Leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives.

  • Support the marketing team in owning and leading team meetings, capturing follow-ups and navigating next steps.
Agency Management

Market Research and Analysis
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns Analyze consumer behaviour, market conditions and industry trends to report on the state of the business and provide insights to inform marketing strategies.
Budget Management
  • Lead the development and manage marketing budgets for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor expenditures, ensure cost-effectiveness, and provide financial insights for budget optimization.
Digital Marketing 
  • Work closely with the brand marketing team to execute online campaigns, including social media, website, email, marketing, and content creation.
  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • A degree in business, marketing, or communications required.
  • 2-3 years of CPG marketing experience.
  • Exceptional ability to use Microsoft software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to conduct data analysis using AC Nielsen data, and/or other consumer and customer data.

Maintenance Technician (Millwright)

More specifically, this role is responsible for the following: RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and upgrade production equipment in the facility, including packaging and coffee roasting equipment.
  • Work respectfully and collaboratively with teammates, coworkers, and external contractors.
  • Work with our Maintenance Planner to schedule preventative maintenance and repairs while maintaining an inventory of critical and general spare part levels.
  • Champion best practices in the areas of preventative maintenance, lean manufacturing, and process improvement, ensuring the efficient flow of production with the least possible downtime.
  • Dream team material. You support the growth and development of other team members as a trainer through our apprenticeship program.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ticketed Millwright with 2–5 years of experience working with industrial equipment.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge in the repair of vacuums, chain-veys, blowers, gearboxes, and calibration of scales.
  • Understanding and ability to read schematics for pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and propane control systems.
  • Knowledge of HMI/VFD navigation and PLC ideology.
  • Ability to use technical formatting and language when reporting material, machine, or process deficiencies and able to articulate and communicate in easy-to-understand terms.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office and other organizational tools.
  • Certified in WHMIS, Forklift, (Hu)manlift, Fall-Arrest, Confined Space, LockOut/TagOut, or Rigging and Hoisting an ASS-et.
