Within the leading and management of Manufacturing CAPEX projects you are responsible for the Preliminary Study, Project Definition, Design, Manufacturing, Installation, Validation, Commissioning, and handover to Production of new production equipment and/or whole systems. Additionally, you will support the Production Departments in Operations to analyze rising problems and methodically design the needed solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Manufacturing CAPEX projects (new production equipment or systems) according to the KHC Engineering Project Management guidelines.
  • Manage and coordinate internal teams and external vendors/partners working on a specific
  • Manufacturing CAPEX project.
  • Manage Manufacturing CAPEX projects (new production equipment or systems) in terms of activities, budget and timeline.
  • Support the Production Departments in Operations to analyze rising problems and methodically design the needed solutions.
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of the Engineering Department through the internal
  • Continuous Improvement and Standardization initiatives.
  • Contribute to the definition of KHC Operations CAPEX plans and projects for future years and Lavazza Group Strategic Plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Engineering (B. Eng.) – preferred: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Chemical or Industrial
  • Minimum of 3-5 years or work experience in Engineering areas/departments.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, including strong working knowledge of PC applications (MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Project Management experience and/or training and/or certification is an ASS-et.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project is an ASS-et
  • Working knowledge of a 2D CAD (AutoCAD) is an ASS-et
  • Previous work experience in the Food & Beverage industry is an ASS-et

As a member of Kicking Horse Coffee’s elite Fulfillment & Logistics Team, you will be the powerhouse that takes care of all things coming and going. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Put together coffee orders with speed and accuracy. When you’re not on the production floor making sure orders are properly labelled and ready to ship, you’ll be behind the wheel of a forklift, receiving the supplies needed to keep operations running smoothly. As we grow and evolve with Kicking Horse Coffee, you will grow and flow within the department, broadening your duties and skills as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive mail and distributor orders from E21.
  • Pick and pack the appropriate products according to the order sheet.
  • Load and unload shipments departing from and arriving at Kicking Horse Coffee.
  • Work directly with the Fulfillment & Logistics Team Leader to understand the daily and weekly shipping schedule.
  • Ensure quality standards are met, that all policies and procedures are followed, that work is being done safely.
  • Prep and stage the room according to the needs of packaging supplies throughout the day.
  • Inspect all incoming products and match paperwork provided with the shipment.
  • Deliver pallets to the proper location. Ensure all shipments are shipped by the end of the day.
  • Ensure all additional daily and monthly cleaning and housekeeping tasks are prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform inventory moves and enter shipment data in E21 database system.
  • Ensure that the right product is loaded according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Flexibility to pivot from assigned daily tasks (due to unforeseen circumstances such as truck delays/road closures/cut roasts etc.) and provide coverage as needed by assuming the most effective role within the Fulfillment & Logistics team.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings, providing input and insights.
  • Receive and put away green bean shipments according to standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with monthly cycle counts of all finished product in the warehouse.
  • Assist with finished product putaway and ensure PQ is emptied throughout the day.
  • Assist with building and shipping orders to Stalco, our Direct to Consumer warehouse.
  • Assist with building, packing, and delivering orders for the KHC Café and our local customers
  • Receive mail deliveries and provide excellent customer service to delivery and line haul drivers.
  • Willingness to join the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) and support  JOHSC tasks.
  • Supports onboarding in the department through job shadowing and collaboration over shared responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A narrow aisle and sit-down forklift operator certificate is appreciated but not required (we will train you up!)
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting an ASS-et.

Cost Analyst – (Maternity Leave)

In this multi-faceted role reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be the Finance point of contact for everything that happens in the Mountain Operations and Food & Beverage (F&B) departments. The role will play a key part in day-to-day administrative operations, along with ensuring longer term cost efficiencies, improving business contribution and supporting accurate budgeting. Alongside this, you will play a crucial part in the Finance department and will have the opportunity to develop skills in Accounts Payable, Receivable and Sales Audit, amongst others.   • You inspect your own work and know when you should fix or rebuild a piece in order to delight our customers with quality workmanship.
We are a job shop and do a wide variety of work. Some common jobs are:
  • Fabrication of timber / construction brackets
  • Design / build / installation of stairs, railings, gates, and other architectural metal elements
  • Structural steel fabrication & installation
  • Field welding, fabrication, & repairs
  • Aluminum MIG & TIG fabrication & repairs
  • Stainless steel TIG fabrication & repairs
